What a winter, ey? But it’s nearly done. Time to enjoy my favorite season of the year: Spring. The Great Sand Dunes National Park here did NOT get here without our winds, and yup, snow gone, winds start. Thru July. But no matter. It’s time to be out: raking, pruning, dirt under the fingernails, rabbits moved to warmer digs, indoor seeds, etc. Get a start on it by buying early, planting in pots, then transplanting after our last freeze, June 15th.
And getting good potting soil now is a must on the to-do list. Look at the ingredients on the bag. Know what you’re buying. And get ideas for new gardens you want to try growing. Then with graph paper, pencil, and eraser, start the planning.
Your plans need not be grandiose, but they need to be challenging, as in grow some new things, new varieties.
But do. Up and about. Excited. After all, it’s been a long winter.
Be Well. Do Good.
